Canon — Expo 2015 New York

Expo 2015 New York

Delivered with Imagination

Bringing the Canon brand to life across its quinquennial 145,000 sqft exhibition at the Jacob Javits Center, comprised of 12 zones of brand and product stories.

Challenge

Canon customers expect the brand to keep up with the breakneck pace of developing technologies, so it was important to do more than simply showcase the newest products at Canon Expo. Canon Expo is produced every five years to showcase the imaging brand's most future forward technologies in an inspiring forum across New York, Paris, and Tokyo.

Insight

Canon is predominantly known as a camera and printer manufacturer, and many other sectors of their business are less widely known. If we could create an experience where the visitor was physically surrounded by all of the industries Canon is revolutionizing with its products, we could reinforce the myriad ways Canon is innovating to change lives.

Solution

The concept for a 3-day Expo at the Jacob Javits Center was inspired by the vibrancy and vigor of New York City; each zone encapsulated the aesthetics and emotions of an exceptional location in the city and given the consistent NYC theme, each zone built upon the strength of its neighbor.

Results

We welcomed over 9,000 guests and garnered phenomenal press coverage of design and technologies, including Wired, Bloomberg, Mashable, and Endgadget.
