Expo 2015 New York
Delivered with Imagination
Bringing the Canon brand to life across its quinquennial 145,000 sqft exhibition at the Jacob Javits Center, comprised of 12 zones of brand and product stories.
Canon customers expect the brand to keep up with the breakneck pace of developing technologies, so it was important to do more than simply showcase the newest products at Canon Expo. Canon Expo is produced every five years to showcase the imaging brand's most future forward technologies in an inspiring forum across New York, Paris, and Tokyo.
Canon is predominantly known as a camera and printer manufacturer, and many other sectors of their business are less widely known. If we could create an experience where the visitor was physically surrounded by all of the industries Canon is revolutionizing with its products, we could reinforce the myriad ways Canon is innovating to change lives.
The concept for a 3-day Expo at the Jacob Javits Center was inspired by the vibrancy and vigor of New York City; each zone encapsulated the aesthetics and emotions of an exceptional location in the city and given the consistent NYC theme, each zone built upon the strength of its neighbor.
Zone 8 — Medical & Wellness
The Medical & Wellness zone featured Canon's innovative technologies within the medical industry, including imaging technology for optometry and breast health.
Zone 9 — University
SEE CANON'S FUTURE
The University zone was home to the cutting-edge technologies Canon is developing across industries, notably in optics technology utilized in space observation and diagnostic applications for the medical industry.
Zone 11 — Advanced Industry Solutions
SEE INNOVATIVE MANUFACTURING
The Advanced Industry Solutions zone focussed on VR solutions used to streamline training and R&D for the manufacturing industry.
The Canon 2015 Expo New York's incredible Imagination team included executive producer Gabrielle Chamberlain, digital director Harish Bhandari, strategy/account director Candice Dias, head of 3D Design Oliver Cobb with 3D designers Jen D'Agosta, Erica Lester, Derek Van Heel, and head of 2D design Kyle Boynton with 2D designers Maria Jaramillo, Christine Aaron, Ryan Larish, and Kyle Berryman.
